As a therapy / counseling practitioner for over 20 years, I have seen a variety of clients. I work with adults over the age of 18 and couples. If you are thinking you have ADHD and have not yet been diagnosed, recent adult ADHD diagnosis, or part of a couple with ADHD (you, your partner or both), I can help get you get a proper diagnosis and tools to cope with the myriad of symptoms ADHD presents. Often times for women ADHD symptoms can worsen during times of hormone changes (menstrual cycles, pregnancy, postpartum, and peri/menopause). Learning coping skills and how to talk with your existing providers on how to manage these symptoms can be a valuable tool.

As a provider and trainer for the Prepare/ Enrich Couples therapy, I can help evaluate your couple strengths at any stage - preparing for marriage, preparing for children, and the empty nest. The Prepare/ Enrich program is a structured assessment with guided sessions on 12 areas of marriage that matter most. This program focuses on strengths and building upon what is already working for you.

If you are looking to support these areas with a more holistic approach, I can provide education on nutrition, exercise, and supplements that support a healthier mental state. It’s not just your emotions that matter for mental health success.

At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, honesty, and authentic connection. I am a relational, grounded therapist who values a direct approach balanced with compassion—allowing difficult truths to be explored in ways that feel both safe and supportive.

My clinical background spans over two decades and includes extensive experience working with substance use concerns, co-occurring mental health challenges, trauma histories, grief and loss, and major life transitions. I have specialized in addiction treatment and in supporting youth within the foster care system, as well as their families. My work is deeply shaped by experience with trauma, attachment disruption, and complex life experiences. Much of my practice centers on supporting individuals impacted by system involvement, instability, or repeated relational disruptions who are seeking greater stability, emotional regulation, and resilience.

My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative. I view clients as the experts in their own lives, and I see my role as bringing clinical knowledge, evidence-based tools, and genuine curiosity to the therapeutic relationship—rather than authority over your story. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches to support sustainable change, self-understanding, and emotional regulation.

Together, we work to make sense of patterns, experiences, and emotional responses while building practical tools that strengthen self-trust, stability, and lasting wellbeing. I am married with 3 children. I enjoy gardening, traveling and weekends out on the Harley. I value clinical humility and transparency, and I strive to create a space where clients feel respected and supported, while also being gently challenged in ways that promote growth and self-agency.

My approach as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey. I work with adults who want to better understand themselves and their pasts, and who are seeking to feel more grounded and present in their daily lives.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, those navigating relationship challenges (romantic, familial, or friendships), people going through difficult life transitions, new parents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed.

My training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Integrative Mental Health guides an individualized approach to care suited to each client. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and where you want to go, using therapy as a tool for growth, insight, and meaningful change.

Learn More About ADHD at Different Life Stages

ADHD is not just difficulty concentrating, poor memory, procrastination, hyper behavior, or inability to keep track of time. It’s difficulty regulating emotions, hyper-focus, difficulty handling rejection, mismanaging finances, executive dysfunction, communication difficulties, feeling overwhelmed to paralyzation, it’s depression and anxiety about being “different.” It’s feeling “dumb,” being tired of being told what to do, it’s questioning every decision, and it’s exhausting.

Women are least likely to be diagnosed as children and mask symptoms better then men. Hormonal changes during menstruation, pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause can exacerbate symptoms initiating an evaluation for ADHD in adult life. Symptoms are often dismissed or simply deemed “normal” for hormonal changes.

  • While no two people’s ADHD look identical, neither are their needs. A diagnosis helps educate and create a plan of action to recognize symptoms and create new routines. This does not automatically mean medications; however, for many, medications and lifestyle changes have made a profound impact on their lives and relationships.

  • As women age, beginning in their mid 20’s estrogen begins to drop. Estrogen decline is linked to changes and decline in all areas of a women’s body, from physical hair, skin and nails to metabolism, to brain function. Studies show direct links with estrogen fluctuations and increase in ADHD symptoms, sometimes requiring different medication dosages before and during menstruation. You’re not crazy, these changes and symptoms are real.

  • Studies show that routines are important for the ADHD brain. Breakfast choices, exercise schedules, medication and/ or supplements can significantly reduce symptoms and increase quality sleep.
